Somatic Circuits – Interactive experience with neural interfaces

Somatic Circuits – Interactive experience with neural interfaces
Somatic Circuits is an interactive installation bridging art and science. It draws inspiration from bioelectronic implants developed at Fraunhofer IZM that use ultrasound and electric fields to stimulate and record neural signals, as well as artist Marlot Meyer’s exploration of technology to reveal unseen connections between bodies. The work invites participants to wear inflatable neuron-inspired forms that emit ultrasound and respond to sound, forming a living neural network while deepening bodily awareness, collective connection and public understanding of bioelectronics.
