The Excellence Cluster Munich Center for Quantum Science and Technology (MCQST) brings together over 80 research groups from LMU Munich, TUM, and leading research institutions across physics, mathematics, chemistry, computer science, and engineering. The cluster’s research spans a broad spectrum, from quantum information theory and secure quantum communication to ultra-precise quantum sensors and novel quantum materials. Its overarching goal is to transform the seemingly unimaginable into something tangible – unlocking the potential of the quantum world for science, technology, and society.
