Träger ist die Münchner Gewerbehof- und Technologiezentrum GmbH (MGH). Das Portal hat sich als erste virtuelle Anlaufstelle für technologieorientierte, innovative Startups in München und Umgebung etabliert. Munich Startup zeichnet sich durch eine neutrale, unabhängige und transparente Darstellung der Inhalte und Akteure aus. Das Portal erhöht die Transparenz innerhalb der Gründerszene und fördert die Vernetzung von Gründerinnen und Gründern mit möglichen Partnern, Investoren und Mentoren. Alle wichtigen Stakeholder der Münchner Szene wirken hierbei mit. Ziel ist es, München und die Region zur ersten Wahl für wachstumsstarke Jungunternehmen in Europa zu machen.
