After working as a Senior Research Fellow at the University of Oxford and at the Center for Quantum Technologies in Singapore, where he researched ultracold atoms and quantum annealing, he moved to industry in 2018. At a leading consultancy, he developed strategies for the use of quantum computing and blockchain before taking the next step. Today, Glätzle is driving Europe's quantum revolution with planqc. The company secured a 50-million-euro investment, is developing a 1,000-qubit quantum computer for the Leibniz Supercomputing Center and is building quantum computing power for research and industry.
