Ann-Kristin is a leading expert in entrepreneurial finance and an active investor in technology startups. She serves as a non-executive director on the boards of DHL Group/Deutsche Post, Linde, and Lazard, and advises organizations including Investcorp. She is also a member of the Board of Trustees of the Institute for Advanced Study in Princeton and an active member of the Investment and Innovation Advisory Board of the German Federal Ministry of Finance. Ann-Kristin studied at the University of St. Gallen and holds doctorates in business administration and law. Since 2001, she has been a professor at the Technical University of Munich, where she held the Chair of Entrepreneurial Finance until 2020 and continues as Scientific Co-Director of the Center for Entrepreneurial and Financial Studies.
