Barbara Kraus is a working on quantum information science and quantum technologies. As Professor of Quantum Algorithms and Applications at the Technical University of Munich (TUM) and Co-Spokesperson of the Munich Center for Quantum Science and Technology (MCQST), she helps shape the future of quantum computing and quantum networks. Her research focuses on the foundations of quantum information, quantum algorithms, and methods to verify and benchmark quantum devices. Through her work, she contributes to turning quantum technologies from scientific breakthroughs into real-world applications. Kraus has received numerous awards for her contributions to the field, including the prestigious START Prize and the Ignaz L. Lieben Prize. At the Festival of the Future, she will share insights into how quantum technologies are advancing and what they could mean for science, industry, and society.
