Carolin Matzko is a German science journalist, author, TV and radio presenter, and keynote speaker. She studied Communication Science, Political Science and Sociology at Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München, graduating with a Magister Artium in 2006. Since 2002, she has worked for Bayerischer Rundfunk, especially for Bayern 2, where she presents and contributes to formats such as 1zu1 – Der Talk, radiowissen, IQ – Wissenschaft und Forschung and radiospitzen. From 2016 to 2025, she co-hosted the BR television show Ringlstetter. Her work focuses on science communication, social issues, democracy, mental health, feminism, innovation, sustainability and public dialogue. As a moderator, she regularly hosts conferences, panel discussions and public events for universities, cultural institutions, foundations, companies and public-sector organisations. Carolin Matzko is also active as a keynote speaker and author. In her talks and texts, she explores topics such as leadership, listening, participation, resilience, diversity, failure culture and the role of science in society.
