Festival der ZukunftDr. Fabian Mehring has served as Bavaria’s State Minister for Digital Affairs since November 2023. As head of Germany’s digital ministry, he oversees and drives the expansion of digital services for both citizens and businesses. In addition, he represents Bavaria in dealings with the federal government, for example through the IT Planning Council. Mehring advocates a digital policy that promotes equal opportunities in both rural areas and urban centers, with a particular focus on establishing Bavaria as Europe’s leading AI hub.
