Max Permantier is a Funding Executive at FilmFernsehFonds Bayern (FFF Bayern), where he specializes in Extended Reality (XR) – including Virtual, Augmented, and Mixed Reality, 360° storytelling, 3D sound, and webseries. With a background in creative producing, screenwriting, and production management, Max studied at the renowned ifs internationale filmschule köln and has worked across fiction, serial, and transmedia formats. He brings a strategic and cultural perspective to immersive storytelling and is committed to strengthening public access to XR. FFF Bayern is the central funding institution for film, games, and XR in Bavaria, offering around €40 million annually for project development, production, XR and games, as well as talent programs. It also provides industry-specific consulting and services to help position Bavaria as a strong international media hub. Max regularly speaks about the global XR ecosystem, innovative funding models, and the transformative potential of immersive media.
