Peter Hoffmann

Peter Hoffmann, on the one hand a professor of business informatics at the FOM University of Applied Sciences in Munich, on the other hand a media computer scientist with heart and soul.
For more than 20 years now, I have been working with a team of changing colleagues on the questions of what „digital media“ and „virtual worlds“ actually are, how they work, how they can be designed and how they can be used. I was able to gain the basic and necessary experience for this in many research and development projects at the Center for Computer Graphics in Darmstadt, at the Institute for Multimedia and Interactive Systems (IMIS) at the University of Lübeck and at the TZI at the University of Bremen.
Under the label Invisible Cow my main concern, besides the development of interactive multimedia applications, is the investigation and communication of answers to the question how the user interface of „real“ hypermedia and multimedia can be designed successfully. This includes especially the consideration of immersive and narrative parts in such interfaces.
