Hye Young Sin

Hye Young Sin is an artist originally from Seoul, currently residing in Cologne, Germany. She explores the interplay of sound, movement, form, and material through various artistic mediums such as installations, performances, sculptures, and compositions. Her creative process is often rooted in everyday observations and hands-on experimentation, intertwining the visual and the aural realms. Sin's educational background includes a degree in Consumer Science with a joint major in Information and Culture Technology from Seoul National University in South Korea. Then she completed a diploma at the Academy of Media Arts in Cologne, Germany. Her works have been prominently featured at exhibitions and media/sound art festivals such as the next generation 8.0 at ZKM in Karlsruhe, Sound/Image 19 in London, 21st Seoul International ALT Cinema & Media Festival in Seoul, and INSONORA in Madrid.
