Lars Zimmermann

Lars Zimmermann is Co-Founder and Member of the Board of GovTech Campus Deutschland, the leading platform ecosystem of the german government to harness the best technologies and digital solutions for public administration in Germany. Until 2020, Lars wars Co-Founder and Managing Director of PUBLIC Germany, the a European venture firm for government technology (GovTech) based in Berlin and London. Before, he was CEO of Axel Springer hy GmbH, the technology consulting firm of Axel Springer SE. Starting from 2006, Lars was founder and CEO of stiftung neue verantwortung, a Berlin-based think tank that specializes on public policy issues at the intersection of technology and society. Lars is also investor and an advisor of Quantco, a data analytics company founded by Harvard and MIT graduates providing algorithms to enable leading organizations to make use of already processed data. From 2005 to 2007, Lars was a McCloy Scholar at the Kennedy School of Government, Harvard University. Lars holds a Master of Public Administration (MPA) from Harvard Kennedy School and a Diploma in Economic Geography/Political Science/Economics from University of Bonn.
