Rolf Brändle

Rolf Brändle is a product designer and design researcher. He is a PhD candidate at the Bauhaus University Weimar and a research fellow at the Folkwang University of the Arts in the transfer project "Sustainability by Design", where he is researching how design approaches such as modelling and prototyping contribute to a sustainable transformation.
As a Designer in Lab at Fraunhofer UMSICHT, he is investigating what happens when the subject of the energy transition is addressed using design modelling practices usually found in product development. This results in participative formats, tangible representations and new narratives.
