Jan Denecke

Jan Denecke, CEO and co-founder of twelve x twelve GmbH, definitely has the entrepreneurial spirit. Indeed, in 2003 Denecke founded his law firm Denecke, Priess & Partner following the passing of his second state examination. He dedicated the next 15 years to music and image rights. He then started RYDE GmbH, an intelligent post-licensing solution that detects the illegal use of images. Acting as a photographer’s digital assistant, the platform helps uncover unlicensed image use, protecting creative works worldwide and converting users into loyal customers. Today, with twelve x twelve, the former lawyer co-founds Europe’s first music NFT marketplace. The goal is to reignite the appreciation of music and music inspired art, and to bring the art back to the artist and fans. In doing so, the startup transforms creative works into digital collectibles.
