Laura Weisenburger

Physician, Journalist

Laura Weisenburger is a specialist in abdominal surgery. She studied and completed her doctorate in medicine at the Charité of Berlin, Germany. For nine years, she operated on countless people in clinics or provided care in the emergency room. In May 2019, she swapped her scalpel for a keyboard and has been part of the editorial and scientific advisory team of the Wort & Bild Verlag, publishing home of the "Apotheken Umschau," ever since.
Since spring 2022, she has alternated with Dr. Dennis Ballwieser to host the daily podcast for people in the healthcare sector "'Ne Dosis Wissen". While working, she completed a Master's degree in digital journalism in Hamburg.
